Geometric Iron Wall Sconce — Shape, Finish & Placement
The three shapes — Round, Diamond, and Oval — share the same iron construction and E27 socket but produce distinct silhouettes on the wall. The Black finish suits industrial and contemporary interiors; the Gold finish reads warmer and pairs well with natural materials. For E27 fittings with an exposed bulb, a filament LED at 2700K (4–6W) gives the most flattering result. This fitting is IP20 rated and not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use. The light direction is fixed — no rotation or tilt adjustment.
Mount the centre of the fitting at 150–170cm from the floor for general ambient use, or at 90–120cm for bedside placement. Pairing two sconces symmetrically on either side of a bed or sofa creates a balanced secondary light layer that overhead fixtures cannot replicate.
